Sunchon Tunnel Massacre Survivors is a true story of events during the Korean War. Avery and Faulkner conducted painstaking research. Both women interviewed survivors, survivor's families and worked with the United States Department of Defense to assure accuracy in its telling. 2015-07-19 Sinchon is the site of a massacre of civilians which is blamed on the Americans by the North Korean government (Historians outside North Korea believe the massacre was propagated by both pro and anti communist vigilantes at the time). According to Newsweek, the so-called Sinchon Massacre was executed by the South Korea but it was supported and backed by the U.S. This happened during the Korean War and this incident caused an outrage from the women of North Korea until now. As the name states, the museum is located in a rural county known as Sinchon, part of Hwanghae Province a couple of hours south of Pyongyang.
